What does draw no bet mean?

Updated November 1, 2026

Draw no bet is a simple idea: you back a team to win, and if the match ends in a draw you get your stake back. You only lose if your team loses.

How it compares with other bets

A straight win bet pays more but loses on a draw. Double chance wins on a draw but pays less. Draw no bet sits between the two: a draw neither wins nor loses.

How to work out the chance

Because a draw is treated as if the match never happened, you remove it from the sums. If a team has a 50% chance of winning, the draw is 25% and the other team is 25%, then only 75% of outcomes count. The chance of winning the bet is 50 divided by 75, which is about 67%. Fair odds are therefore about 1.50.

When it makes sense

It suits a favourite in a match where a draw is a real possibility, such as a strong team away from home. It makes less sense for a heavy favourite, where the odds become so short that the protection is not worth much. See this week's picks on our draw no bet page.
